Gillian David was born in Hong Kong and spent three years of her childhood in Mumbai. Perhaps this colourful early environment foreshadowed her passion for colour as an existence of its own.
After graduating in teaching she taught for eight years as a class teacher and art teacher. She joined Tobias School of Art and Therapy in 1990 and since 1993 has been Director of the Transpersonal Arts in Therapy training, and has been intensively involved in teaching, course accreditation and development. She has taught in Holland and California and run a variety of courses in the UK
Gillian has worked as an art therapist in schools, a medical practise and a Rehabilitation Centre.
She qualified as a Supervisor from Chichester University and provides Art and Play therapy supervision.
Her art practise began in childhood and has always been her nourishment and solace. She was a selected member of the Pure Arts Fair, Battle in 2017. She exhibited at Lewes Open Studios and is in private collections in USA, Holland, Germany and UK
